Amanda Willoughby is a multifaceted artist from Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from Memphis College of Art in 2012 she honed a diverse skill set spanning filmmaking, visual arts, and youth mentorship; making a striking mark on the arts community.
With over 15 years of experience as a youth mentor in the art of filmmaking, Amanda has passionately guided countless young talents on their creative journeys. Amanda’s commitment to empowering young filmmakers extends to her role as the Lead Video Instructor at CLOUD901 Teen Learning Lab of Memphis Public Libraries. She not only imparts technical knowledge but also instills the values of creativity, collaboration, and self-expression in her students.
As the Youth Mentor Program Coordinator and Black Creators Forum Producer for Indie Memphis, Amanda plays a pivotal role in fostering diversity and inclusivity in the film industry. Her efforts have led to the elevation of underrepresented voices, creating platforms for creators to shine.
In addition to her mentoring endeavors, Amanda is the co-founder of Not Your Ordinary Films, a production company committed to crafting narratives that challenge conventions and offer fresh perspectives on the human experience.
